Origin Apartments within the Swan River Precinct on the Burswood Peninsular is under construction. Through open tender, the developer has commissioned Leanne Bray to fulfill the percent for art component of this exciting project.

Bray has researched the vast changes regarding the land usage- there is now little evidence of the it’s former use as a market garden, a rubbish tip, a sewerage treatment works and a landfill area. The dredged land reclaimed, re-vegetated and restored. What was once an eyesore is now captured from a birds eye view on the façade of this contemporary apartment. The artwork referencing the organic nature of the river and surrounds.
