Expressions of Interest Invited from Artsource Artists
Artsource is pleased to be celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2021, and we'd love for you to be a part of the festivities.
We are looking for an artist or artists to create a program resulting in works and/or events around the theme of Artsource – present, past and future. An artist or artists who can engage with the community at Old Customs House (OCH) to collaborate and explore where we come from, and how we are connected.
The project will end with a closing event, and may include other events (such as exhibitions, workshops, and talks) to engage with Artsource members - past and present - and key stakeholders. Members of the public, Artsource members, and honourable guests will be invited to attend these various events.
This is an exciting opportunity to plan, curate, implement and manage an event or series of events celebrating the history of Artsource. All Artsource member Artists are welcome to apply.
The selected artist or artists will have the chance to work across the whole of the Artsource organisation, with staff, board, members, tenants, visual and other artists, key stakeholders, and the community.
The benefits to the artist or artists include, but are not limited to:
-
Gaining a rapid and in-depth understanding of the marketing and events management aspects of Artsource’s operations;
-
Collaborating with visual artists, extending your network and artistic practice;
-
Increasing your reputation and experience as an artist, curator, and organiser;
-
Developing valuable relationships with Artsource staff, management, and board;
-
A large studio at Old Customs House in Fremantle for completing the project.
