Review of Artsource Consulting

Dear Members

In the second half of 2014 Artsource commissioned Ricky Arnold to undertake a thorough and independent review of Artsource Consulting. The Board, CEO and our consulting team are committed to ensuring that our operating procedures, policies and documentation are in the best possible shape to deliver quality outcomes for artists. Having already made progress updating our contracts and procedures the time was ripe to conduct an external review to assess progress and identify further areas where we needed, or had the opportunity, to improve.

I would like to thank all our members who participated in the review and dedicated their time to providing Ricky with the wealth of information that allowed him to produce such an insightful, practical and immensely helpful report.

The Board and CEO have reviewed the report with Ricky and discussed its findings and recommendations in detail with Yvonne Holland, General Manager and Tabitha Minns, Manager Artsource Consulting. We all welcome the report, note its findings and unequivocally endorse its recommendations.

In the interests of openness the Board is publishing the executive summary from the report and the recommendations, as written by Ricky. In addition, we are publishing our actions and timescales for addressing each recommendation (included in the link above).

This review and report was an important piece of work for Artsource and, on behalf of the Board and CEO, I thank Ricky Arnold for approaching his task with such openness, professionalism and attention to detail.

UPDATE: State Government Percent for Art Scheme Review

September 2016

Artsource members were recently asked to provide feedback to the Department of Culture and the Arts about their experiences working with the State Government's Percent for Art Scheme.

Artsource was also invited to provide comments in respect to a number of key issues. CLICK HERE to read our response.
