The City of Stirling sought to organise a site specific art installation to become a major feature of the City's annual Summerset Arts Festival.  Aimed at activating an unused or forgotten space in the Scarborough area, artists were invited to explore the creative capacity of a space and present their ideas in a captivating way to an ever-increasing audience.

The City went through an open tender process and received little response to the artwork brief so they approached Artsource for a curated shortlist. Eighteen artists were suggested and after considering several strong concepts, the City of Stirling commissioned Anna Crane and Britt Mikkelsen to the project.

“I just wanted to send you a quick email and say thank you for helping me out with contact for our temporary art installation.  After receiving some great proposals we selected a joint proposal by Anna Crane and Britt Mikkelsen who are going to turn our rooftop into a luminous night garden for the festival.  We are really excited about it.”
