Outcome: Policy and planning documents relating to arts and culture
Artsource has worked extensively with local government authorities to produce a variety of policy and planning documents for local government. Key to this work has been the development of a model Universal Percent for Art Policy to assist local governments to explore ways of funding public art within their local government region. Policy documents that explore and build on this model have included public art strategies, guidelines for implementing public art strategies, the procurement and management of public art and options for the funding of public art.
Other planning documents that provide a broad conceptual overviews for cultural projects include the Cultural Land Use Strategy, where Artsource participated in the formation of a cultural planning strategy with the Shire of Busselton and other community stakeholders; where an interpretation plan for the historic Busselton Jetty teased out options for public art.
