In association with Turner Galleries, Artsource presented Winner, a series of 6-minute artist talks from professional practicing artists who have won prizes in the past year; about their practice, their involvement in prizes and how this has changed their practice.
Paul Kaptein: winner of the prestigious $25,000 acquisitive Mandorla Art Award (2014) and the Mid West Art Prize - City of Greater Geraldton Overall Award for Excellence (2015).
Peter Dailey: In 2010 he was the 2nd recipient of "The Syndicate" project, a three-year project to produce 10 life size figurative works (see right).
Iain Dean: The 2014 winner of the Black Swan National Portrait Prize, Perth WA was also a finalist in the 2013 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize for his work Tell me lies and lullabies, but don’t tell me to change.
Laurel Nannup: In 2006, seven of Nannup’s prints were acquired by the National Gallery of Australia, six by the Art Gallery of Western Australia and two by the Berndt Museum of Anthropology in Perth.
Nigel Hewitt: is represented in collections including Art Gallery of Western Australia, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Artbank, SGIO, BankWest, Wesfarmers, Holmes a Court, The Stein Collection and is this year's Glover Prize winner.
Caspar Fairhall: in 2012 won the Cossack Art Award including a 2013 residency in the Pilbara region of Western Australia
