Galvanise (2019)
The inaugural Old Customs House Salon, Galvanise, showcased artworks from over two hundred artists, in a display that explored the rich diversity of Artsource members. The exhibition's opening night combined with the Artsource Sundowner, celebrated everyone's efforts in 2018, filling the gallery to capacity to bring together over 300 members and supporters.
While the exhibition drew a further 850 people to view the array of 2D and 3D works, it was the many volunteers who ultimately stole the show.
An event on this scale could not have happened without the dedicated, tireless work of our dedicated volunteers. 100 people came together across roles including curation, installation, invigilation, building, painting, hospitality, marketing, fundraising, donations, photography and many more. You know who you are, and we are incredibly thankful to you for volunteering your valuable time, knowledge and specialist skills to ensure Galvanise was such a success. Your contribution has helped to foster the sense of community that surrounds Artsource and has given us all a renewed sense of purpose to kick off 2019.
