Artist Statement

Emily's expressionist landscapes are created from her visual memory of years spent in on the land. Bold palettes are highlighted with metallic pigments, and are loosely applied with sprays and palette knives in a series of sensory driven painting sessions. Her landscapes switch between the abstract and semi abstract and are determined by mood and light.
