Biography
I graduated 1982 with a BA in Fine Art and since then have run a busy studio practice whilst travelling extensively to draw and paint in the landscape. I now work from my studio in O’Connor Fremantle creating artworks that document the natural world. I hope that my artworks will conjure for the viewer something of the wonder and beauty of the plants and animals that I paint. Studio visits by appointment.
Since 2009 I have worked with scientists in the capacity of Honorary Research Associate - School of the Biological Sciences UWA, Adjunct Artist with the Australian Institute of Marine Science and Adjunct Lecturer with the Oceans Institute UWA. This allows me to broaden and deepen my understanding of nature and to bring scientists into school and community settings. I partner with Arts, government, industry, research, education and community groups to present projects throughout WA.
