Biography

Vania completed her studies in Stage & Studio techniques at Perth Technical College & WAPPA majoring in scenic art in 1989. After P/T teaching in education and health departments including freelance work she went on to established her own company Sabi Art + Design. For over 25 years she has worked extensively for architects & interior designers specializing in commercial, retail & display art projects. This has seen Vania attain work nationally at Ayres Rock Resort & being involved in many state projects. Vania' s works can be seen in the collection of St. John of God Hospital Subiaco, Newmont Asia Pacific and Telco as well as numerous private collections in the US&UK &Singapore. A strong sense of horizon is evident in Vania's artwork. Depth, colour, mood & design are all essential in each one of my artworks, Vania continues to exhibit in awards & galleries through out the state.

Artist Statement

I am drawn to landscapes with distinct light and texture, the movement of all weather conditions and how that plays on our surroundings. I hope to convey a journey through layers & hints. Whispers, echoes of memories past, a timelessness that is visually poetic, by provoking elusive fleeting glimpses into our psyche.”
