Studios: Garvey Park, Belmont

The Garvey Park studio is housed in the old kiosk at the end of Fauntleroy Avenue. The 30sqm space is surrounded by beautiful parkland and is on the edge of the river. Artsource partners with the City of Belmont to offer this space as an artists’ studio.

Eligibility and selection criteria are as follows:

• Selection is based on artistic excellence and potential for development, based on support material presented
• We try and maintain an equity mix
• Applications are open to professional practicing visual artists who are WA residents
• Applicants must be members of artsource and membership must be maintained for the duration of studio tenancy
• Studios must be used for a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Studios are not available for full-time students, although studio based masters students are eligible
• Studios are not suitable for industrial or semi-industrial processes (eg. kilns, furnaces, welding)
